October 12 at 5:00 – October 14 - Upgrading to RAC
In order to move the Banner data onto a more reliable and long term database structure,
we will need to shut Banner off for a weekend to make this change. Thus, Banner will
be down beginning Friday, October 12 at 5:00 until Sunday evening, October 14.
Network and Database Maintenance
Periodically USU IT needs to perform maintenance on campus networks and on the Banner
database. To accommodate this proactive approach, we have scheduled monthly Banner
outages. However, no shutdowns will occur during the months of September, January and
May due to the heavy use of Banner. More information will appear before each shutdown on
the USU outage reports. (See it.usu.edu) These shutdowns will begin in the early hours of
the morning and be completed by the early afternoon and will occur on the following Sundays:
