Request Software Installation and Data Storage

From here, you can fill out a form to request that software be installed for a semester and/or data be stored for a semester on a classroom computer. We cannot guarantee that your data or software will stay on the computer for an entire semester due to the possibility that a machine may develop problems and have to be re-imaged or replaced. We apologize if that happens and please let us know that we need to replace previously installed software or data.  

  • Those requesting a software installation are responsible for delivering the software to be installed to the Service Desk (JQL 108). Due to classroom scheduling, once a semester has commenced, software installations on classroom instructor systems will take a minimum of (1) one week. For instructors needing immediate access to software, most classrooms are configured to allow instructors to connect personal laptops - containing the software. To reduce downtime, we encourage instructors to schedule software installations at least (2) weeks before the beginning of the semester. 
  • Information Technology will make a good faith effort to install the requested software. We may not be able to install certain types of software if incompatibilities arise or the software requires a significant reconfiguration of a machine such that it negatively impacts performance and/or overall user experience. A determination of this nature will be made by Information Technology.
