Fake Social Security Statement email

The Social Security Administration is sending out its annual reminders to review Social Security Statements online and phishing scammers are right on their heels with fake copies, trying to get your SSN.

Both real and fake messages have the subject line:

Subject:  Annual Reminder to Review Your Social Security Statement

and both probably look like they are from:

     From:   Social Security Statement <no-reply@ssa.gov>

but only the real one actually sends you to:

   https://www.socialsecurity.gov/signin

while the fake message will send you to a convincing but fake login page on a foreign web server.
