During the summer of 2008, USU IT introduced a new, improved network (computer) registration system. This system, known as the BlueZone allows every user to actively maintain their own network registration. In a few departments, the network registrations have been assigned to the departmental IT support personnel rather than individual users. If your computer or network device is not registered under your A-Number please contact your internal IT support personnel or contact the IT Service Desk.
To ensure the USU BlueZone network is kept current with user's contact information and the number of computing devices on the BlueZone network, the system is scheduled to expire registrations after a maximum of one (1) year. Users may visit http://bluezone.usu.edu to renew their computer or network device registration.
Prior to expiring any computer or network devices registration, an email will be sent to the owner's "preferred email" address on record in Banner. Two notification will be sent out, the first will be sent 14 days and a second, 2 days prior to the registration expiring, allowing time to renew your registration and avoid network and Internet interruption.
To check your preferred email address please visit http://ID.usu.edu.
To check the computers and networking devices registered under your A-Number please visit http://bluezone.usu.edu
