To simplify the wireless configuration process for Windows, Information Technology created a file that Windows users may download and run to auto-configure their computer to use the BLUEZONESECURE wireless network.
To download the BLUEZONESECURE Wireless Auto-Configuration Installer, select either the .exe (executable) file or the .zip (zipped / compressed) file below.
Note: The files above are the same. One file is zipped so it provides a slightly smaller download.
Once you have downloaded the file to your computer, complete the following steps to auto-configure the BLUEZONESECURE wireless connection:
Double click on the file you have downloaded (bluezonesecure.exe or bluezonesecure.zip)
If you downloaded the .zip file it will open in another window, double click the bluezonesecure.exe file contained in that window
Click "Yes" on the dialog box that is asking "Install the BLUEZONESECURE Wireless Connection?"
Note for Vista users: A security warning may appear, just click Run to allow Vista UAC to launch the installer.
If you are within range of the BLUEZONESECURE wireless network, you should see a text balloon appear with the name of BLUEZONESECURE.
Click on the text balloon and you will see the logon dialog box prompting for your credentials.
Enter your A-Number and password in the appropriate blanks, but leave the logon domain box empty. Click "OK" and you will be authenticated onto the BLUEZONESECURE wireless network. Note: It will take up to a minutes for wireless network connection to connect.
XP- A text balloon will appear indicating you have made connection to BLUEZONESECURE.
Vista - Put your mouse over the Network icon from the system tray, you should see that your PC is connected to BLUEZONESECURE.
Congratulations! You are now connected to the USU secure wireless network. All information sent across the wireless network will be encrypted.
