Port DisabledIf Your Port Has Been Disabled
Ports can be disabled for a variety of reasons. The two most common reasons are viruses and hackers.
4. Pay the fee and get the data port re-enabled. Once the problem has been resolved and you are ready to have the your data port re-enabled, visit: http://disabled.usu.edu/pay_enable.phpand follow the instructions. When you complete the payment form and click on "Submit" your request will be submitted for re-activation. If you want a static IP address, you will need to submit your request at http://it.usu.edu/htm/it-professonals/ip. Data Port Re-activation Fee
You will find more information about the reconnect fee here. Note: Resolve the problems and make sure your computer is ready to be re-connected to the network. If your computer is re-enabled and the same or other problems are detected, the port will be disabled again and you will have to pay another reconnect fee to have it re-enabled.
