USU Wireless Networking

The USU network (for wired and wireless connections) is referred to as BlueZoneSecure.

Information Technology has increased wireless network coverage on campus. Wireless coverage now extends to 100% of campus, including Housing, and Extension sites will have wireless coverage soon.

Connecting to the wireless network is easy. Determine the wireless network (BLUEZONE or BLUEZONE-GUEST) you should connect to and follow the instructions below. The BLUEZONE Wireless Network is for USU faculty, staff and students who use the network on a regular basis. The BLUEZONE-GUEST Wireless Nnetwork is for USU guests while visiting campus.

BLUEZONE 

To use the BLUEZONE Wireless Network you must register your computer's wireless Ethernet card by following these steps:

    Step 1: Turn on your computer and launch a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or FireFox)

    Step 2: If your computer isn't registered on the USU BlueZone Wireless Network you will be redirected to https://bluezone.usu.edu

    Step 3: Login using your A-Number and password

    Step 4: Click on "Register My Computer"

    Step 5: Reboot your computer and you will be connected to the BlueZone Wireless Network

BLUEZONE-GUEST

The BlueZone-Guest Wireless Network requires a ticket ID. Faculty, staff and registered students may create a ticket ID for their guest(s). To create a ticket ID for your guest(s) follow these steps:

    Step 1: Launch a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or FireFox) and go to https://bluezone.usu.edu

    Step 2: Click on the "Guests" button

    Step 3: Click on "Create Ticket for your Guests"

    Step 4: Enter the

Guest/group name:

 Start date:

End date:

 

Step 5:  Click on "Create Ticket"

You will be provided with a ticket ID.  Print the ticket ID and give it to your guest(s).    Each Ticket ID may be used by multiple guests.
