Big File Transfer

Many email services limit the size of messages and attachments that can be sent to 30MB. USU has created a large file transfer service as a solution to this.
.

If you go to bft.usu.edu you can upload the file(s) you need to share. After your file has been uploaded, both you and the recipients you requested will receive an email with the link to the file. It will remain active for a seven days, after which it will be deleted.
.

This would be the recommended way to send files to multiple people as well. By using BFT only one copy of the file is created and stored on a server instead of having multiple copies being created and sent out with your message.
.

BFT is not ideal for sending sensitive/personal information. There is potential that anyone could access the files you posted. The only security method used at this time is the randomly generated URL.
.

Pricing

This free service is funded through the Information Technology Network Funding model.
