The Service Desk contracts with departments at USU to provide in person desk-top support.  Currently more than 35 departments have IT provide their desk-top, printer, and software support.

What is a Departmental Desktop Support Contract?

 It is a contract with departments or units within departments to manage their desktop/laptop computers along with Windows Servers.

How do I set up an effective contract?

These contracts should match your department/unit needs as closely as possible. If you are interested in discussing the computing needs of your department/unit we would be happy to sit down with you at your convenience to discuss your needs and expectations.

We realize that every department has unique needs and expectations and we will work closely with you to make sure your needs are being met. To help meet those needs, each department/unit that sets up an SLA will be assigned a Primary System Administrator and a Secondary System Administrator reducing or eliminating the knowledge loss and downtime that often occurs as employees leave.
