Oracle Site License

  • Utah State University Information Technology (IT) has completed a major purchase of an enterprise, unlimited use site license with Oracle!

What does it mean for me?

  • Increased functionality for Banner, disaster recovery, and other high end database needs.
  • If you have a need for an Oracle database, you no longer need to pay for Oracle licenses. Information Technology has done that for you!
  • You can have access to robust, best of class, enterprise databases and tools, and not have to compromise based on your available software budget.
  • Your ongoing database maintenance costs may be significantly reduced or eliminated.

What software is included in the unlimited use site license?

How much will it cost me?

There are no costs for you to obtain access and use USU's Oracle software site license.

To host your own Oracle database:

If you desire to host your own database, simply go to:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/index.html for download information.

NOTE: The Oracle download site allows individuals to download products beyond that which the USU site license covers. Please verify the software downloaded is covered under the USU site license listed above.

 

To have USU IT host your database:

Oracle database hosting services are available through IT. Relying on USU's in-house expertise and equipment results in significant savings on personnel, disaster recovery, and hardware costs. If your needs require access to an Oracle license not identified on the above list or if you would like IT to host your Oracle database to save you money, please initiate your request using our Full SLA form. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Project Management Team.
