Students and faculty have the opportunity to create free email accounts. Aggiemail is for students & alumni, retired faculty and staff. Aggies Exchange is for current faculty and staff.

Sign Up for Aggiemail

While it is anticipated that all students will want to receive a free USU Google Aggiemail email account, it is not mandatory.

By default, official university email communication will be sent to your preferred email address entered into the Banner Access (SSB) system. Update your preferred email address in Banner to reflect the email address you want to receive university information and email.

You can only have one Aggiemail account at a time so be sure to create an account that you will want to keep.

Because Aggiemail account names are based on your preferred name setting in Banner, it is important that your preferred name is set correctly in Banner before you setup your Aggiemail account.

1. Check or change your preferred name in Banner

1. Login to the USU Banner system by entering your A-Number and password.

2. Click the 'Personal Information' tab.

3. Click 'Change Your Preferred Name' in the list of links on the 'Personal Information' page.

4. The 'Change Your Preferred Name' page shows you what your current preferred name is in Banner. To change it, select the name and erase it, then enter another name in its place.

5. Click the submit button.

2. Set up your Aggiemail account

1. Click the 'Personal Information' tab in Banner again to go back to the menu.

2. Click 'Aggiemail' in the list of links on the 'Personal Information' page.

3. Read through the license agreement that displays and click the 'I agree' button if you agree to the terms.

4. The next page allows you to choose an email account name from a menu. Select one of the choices and click the submit button.

5. If you wish to change your preferred USU email address to the new Aggiemail one, click the update button. This will make it so that official emails from Utah State University will go to your new Aggiemail account.

Don't want Aggiemail? Change your preferred Email.

If you don't want an Aggiemail account, make sure to update your preferred email address in Banner to reflect the email address at which they wish to receive university information and email.

1. Change your preferred USU email address.

1. Login to the Banner system.

2. Click on the 'Personal Information' tab.
.
3. Click 'Update E-mail Addresses'.
.
4. Under the 'Official Campus E-mail Address' line, click the email address listed next to the 'Preferred' line.

5. Near the bottom of the page, enter your new preferred email address in the box labeled 'E-mail'.

6. Click 'Make this your preferred address' check box.
.
7. Click the submit button.


Aggies Exchange

Aggies Exchange

Aggies Exchange is the email client for University staff and faculty. It can be accessed through owa.usu.edu.
