Editing in Camtasia is a quick and easy process. All editing features are performed in the timeline and storyboard views.
On the timeline control choose the Show Timeline icon or the Show Storyboard icon. Depending on which view you are currently in, the opposite view button is displayed.
To cut out sections of your recording (audio and video tracks) use the Camtasia selector on the timeline.
1) Use the green selection arrows to highlight the area you would like to cut.
2) Select the scissors icon on the timeline controls to cut the section selected.
3) To add a new table of contents marker or to split a clip into two, place the green arrow at the split point and select the split icon on the timeline controls.
The storyboard view allows you to move clips, audio, and images to new locations on the timeline. Click with your mouse on the clip you would like to move and drag and drop it to its new location.
