Overview...

Your Camtasia file can be converted into a variety of formats. Follow the instructions below to choose the format best suited for your needs.

Produce Video As...

Select File, and then select Produce Video As... from the main menu bar.

Video Format

1) AVI - CD Delivery.
2) Flash - smallest file size, best for online viewing.
*FACT recommended for online or WebCT viewing.
3) WMV - Good for streaming servers.
4) Quicktime - best choice for Mac users

Encoding Options

Depending on the production format selected, the encoding options will differ. If you are unsure of which options to choose, use the default settings for best results.

Video Size

This dialog box allows you to select the size of your video. For online viewing, it is best to use the recommended 640x480 video size.

Video Options

This dialog box allows you to select watermark and SCORM options.

Marker Options

Camtasia will generate a Table of Contents based on markers inserted during the editing process. Markers are also automatically generated at the beginning of each slide. If you do not want a table of contents, deselect that option.

Produce Video

1) Name your production file and choose where to save it.
2) Select Finish. The production process could take several minutes depending on the size of your file.
3) All of the files produced (except for the Camtasia projects file) need to be put on the web or in WebCT together in order to properly view the video.
