Reporting Warehouse/JAVA

There are many reasons why Discoverer Plus is not responding as you would like, it could be anything from the speed of your computer to network traffic to the load on the application servers but there is one issue that you may be able to fix that will help greatly. Discoverer Plus is not very compatible with the newest version of JAVA.

You should be running J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 15

To get the proper version of JAVA on your computer follow these steps:

First, remove all Java versions from your computer.

1. Click the Start Button.
2. Click on "Control Panel".
3. Then double click  "Add and remove programs".  Wait for the list to appear, this will take up to a minute.
4. Click on a "J2SE" or "Java" item in the list and click the "Remove" button that appears.
5. Repeat the removal for all "J2SE" or "Java" items in the list.
6. Close "Add and remove programs".

Next, Install the correct JAVA version for Discoverer:

1. Click Here to download the zipped JAVA installation file.
2. Unzip your downloaded file
3. Install by double clicking the unzipped "jre-1_5_0_15-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe" file
4. Follow all JAVA installation instructions.
