OU Campus FAQs

USU has purchased the Content Management System (CMS) called OU Campus to simplify management of websites for USU colleges, departments and programs. Below are answers to some of the questions that you may have.

What is OU Campus?

Ou Campus is the leading web content management system for higher education institutions, created by OmniUpdate. Today, OU Campus is used to manage more than 700 different college and university websites. Learn more by visiting their website.

How long does it take to get started using OU Campus?

The time to get set up in OU Campus depends on if a free USU template is chosen, the organization is doing a new design, or if the site is being migrated from another content management system. If a USU template is chosen, an organization can be setup in OU Campus in only a few days. If an organization is doing a new design or migrating a site over to OU Campus, the time may vary. Please contact the IT Web Team for a specific timeline.

Do you have to know web coding to us OU Campus?

No. OU Campus is meant to be usable by anyone who has access to a computer and the internet.

Is training available in how to use OU Campus?

Yes, training is available. Once a website is set up in OU Campus, the IT Web Team provides training for the personnel who will be working on that website. If questions arise after the training, simply contact the IT Web Team for assistance.

How much does it cost to use OU Campus?

OU Campus is 100% free to use. There are no hosting fees. However, custom template development fees apply if a non-standard USU template option is needed. Contact the IT Web Team to discuss your options and get a cost estimate.
